This Shabbat we welcome Guest Speaker Johanne Morne, the Deputy Director for Community Health for the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Office of Public Health (OPH). Ms. Morne serves as the Director for both the AIDS Institute (AI), where she has worked for more than 14 years, and (as of 2021) the Center for Community Health (CCH).

The Traditional Egalitarian Minyan prays the complete Sabbath morning liturgy along with the full reading of the Torah portion. There is both an increased use of Hebrew at this service and a commitment to gender equality. All are welcome, regardless of Hebrew knowledge or prior synagogue experience. All services include a short sermon.

March with the LGBTQ+ cluster, including our friends from JQY, A Wider Bridge, and Keshet, as the Celebrate Israel Parade returns in person for the first time since 2019, organized by the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York. This year’s theme is “Together Again—Kulanu B’Yachad.” Exact meeting time and location will be sent to those who register here.
Brighton Beach Pride

This year’s 6th Brighton Beach Pride is held in solidarity with Ukraine. Join Rabbi James and a CBST contingent as we march down the boardwalk from Coney Island through Brighton Beach with our friends from RUSA-LGBT to demonstrate the power of community. Current CBST Door Policy for Services and Events

We will have a list at the door of all community members who have submitted proof of complete vaccination. If you plan to attend services or programs in person and have not yet submitted your proof, please click here to do so. If you have done so before, you don’t need to show proof of vaccination please check in with security at the door.
