Our Thoughts Are with the Communities Affected by the Los Angeles-Area Fires

As the devastation in Southern California continues to unfold, our hearts go out to the communities impacted by the fires in the Los Angeles area. We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by the destruction and loss experienced by so many.

We believe in the power of coming together in times of crisis, and we are committed to doing our part to make a difference. To support relief efforts, this weekend's Preview Performances of The Wolves” by Sara DeLappe will be give-what-you-can with all proceeds being donated to two organizations working to support the efforts and take care of those in need. All tickets sales will be donated to:

  • The Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation which is running a campaign to provide critical support for LAFD firefighters as they work tirelessly to save lives and protect property during these devastating wildfires. Donations to this campaign will directly help equip firefighters with essential tools and supplies, including emergency fire shelters, hydration backpacks, and wildland brush tools.

  • World Central Kitchen, a global organization delivering meals to people in disaster areas. They are currently operating in Southern California to serve free, hot meals to those affected by the wildfires.

Additionally, we will offer comps to anyone impacted by the area fires, and to members of our sister theatre, Theatre Palisades, which lost its home in last week's Palisades blaze. Just show up to our box office and we will take care of you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted, and we stand in solidarity with the first responders, firefighters, and countless others working tirelessly to protect and save our city.

We are proud to present the first show of our 79th MainStage Season

The Morgan-Wixson Theatre’s Youth Education/Entertainment Series (YES) was conceived in 2005 when teacher Tara Redepenning, member Anat Barzilai, and Board Members Channa Messer and Lewis Stout were talking about needing to do more shows for youth of all ages. Tara Redepenning pitched the idea of doing plays specifically based on children’s books on the required schools reading lists to promote literacy. Learn more about the program throughout our 20th Anniversary Season!

Our YES Youth Workshops are starting next week and there are a few spots available.

Meet the Casts of the first shows of our 79th Season

• We are grateful to the casts and creative teams of "The Wolves" and "Sherlock Holmes" who have continued working during this difficult time. We will continue to bring the magic of live performance to audiences, while holding space for those impacted by the fires. It's important to be reminded of the power of art to unite, inspire, and endure.

• Thank you to Cori Goldberg for all you have done the past several weeks. Cori is the first one to ask, "what do you need, what can I do?" And during these difficult times, she is a Superstar. We are so grateful that she is part of our Morgan-WIxson Community.
