You will also learn more about our Doctors Manitoba Board of Directors, and why you should consider joining even if you’ve never been on a board before. Winnipeg district elections are coming up this spring, so this is an excellent time to learn more.

Practicing Physicians Sought for Discrimination Study

Virtual Focus Groups Jan. 22 or Jan. 30 / For all practicing physicians

 

Practicing physicians are invited to share their views on equity barriers and discrimination physicians experience in professional settings The study seeks ideas on solutions to address and prevent these personally and professionally harming experiences from occurring. 


HOW TO TAKE PART: Complete a demographic survey and attend a virtual 90-minute focus group. Two dates available: Wednesday, January 22 at 6:30 p.m or Thursday, January 30 at 6:30 p.m.

Discounted Jets Tickets

January 14 Jets vs. Canucks / Open to all members


The Winnipeg Jets are offering Doctors Manitoba members discounted tickets for the game on Tuesday January 14, 2025 at 7 p.m. vs. the Vancouver Canucks as part of Health Night.

 

Tickets start at $42 plus fees/taxes and are subject to availability.

Capital Gains Increase in Limbo with Trudeau Resignation

The future of increased capital gains taxes introduced last year is now in limbo following the resignation of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and prorogation of parliament. 


WHY IT MATTERS: The increase on the capital gains inclusion rate took effect June 25, 2024. The changes are concerning to many physicians who have planned capital investments as part of a retirement plan.
