BEAUTIFICATION NEWS

Beauty on Broadway, 303 South Broadway Avenue is the recipient for the August Business of the Month Beautification Award!  Owner Shelby Fender was pleasantly surprised to receive the award and is glad to know her efforts are seen and appreciated!  The front entrance shows off a fresh coat of paint, new awnings, and a set of planters containing a beautiful tropical assortment.  The back entrance is just as inviting with planters including cannies and geraniums.  There are plans for an additional face lift of more painting next year.  Congratulations Beauty on Broadway!

The Beautification Committee of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce would like to award Jackie Hahlen of 1350 Fairview Avenue the August Yard of the Month Winner.  To honor her late husband, Jackie continues to decorate her yard with beautiful patriotic decor as he had done every year.  The yard's neatly kept landscaping includes colorful geraniums, variegated hostas and euonymus. Congratulations to Jackie!
