New Year Savings: Snag deals on Yamaha, Mercury outboards

First up is Yamaha's New Year, New Reliability sales event, valid now through March 31. For a limited time when purchasing an eligible outboard, you will receive up to seven years of coverage protection and up to $200 in dealer credit towards the purchase of additional goods and accessories. As for Mercury, performance meets peace of mind this year. With their Get 7 extended coverage offer, a purchase of a new 75-400hp outboard comes with seven years of factory-backed coverage (or five years of factory-backed coverage when purchasing an eligible 2.5-60hp outboard). Offer valid through March 31. Exclusions apply.

Edu-Op: Join Haven Harbour for monthly seminars starting Jan. 18

Haven Harbour Yacht Services will be holding monthly educational seminars again starting this January, hosted by Erik Lostrom. Each session will be held from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 noon, will occur at Haven Harbour South, and are free and open to roughly 35 attendees per class on a first come, first served basis. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided. Seminar topics and dates are as follows:

Saturday, Jan. 18 (Session I) – Do's and don'ts of rigging and splicing. Guest speakers to include Haven Harbour Yacht Services Rigger Jack Davis.

Saturday, Feb. 22 (Session II) – Fuel systems, maintenance, hoses and fittings.

Saturday, March 22 (Session III) – Coatings, anodes and corrosion prevention.
