State of the Unions

Lehman Sociology Professor Jennifer Laird was awarded a grant from the Washington Center for Equitable Growth to support research on public-sector unions in the wake of the Supreme Court’s 2018 decision in Janus v. AFSCME. The funds will support Laird and two colleagues from Western University and Washington University in St. Louis as they research public-sector unions.

Sweet Time: Last week's ice cream social was a fun event! Among the special guests were Interim Provost Jorge Silva-Puras and Vice President for Student Affairs Jermaine Wright (photo 3). Find more student life and club events here.

Acute Photo: Lehman's Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) gathered in the Student Life Building and posed for a photo with triangular gestures to represent ALPFA. The group was recently named National Student Chapter of The Year.
