Financial Incentive Information

The Board of Education is offering a one-time financial incentive to provide a token of “thanks” to our teammates for the way you serve our students and each other, and to help employees in a small way combat increasing everyday costs. THANK YOU to the Board of Education for this boost as we look to start another successful school year!

The Board of Education would like to offer a financial incentive to all employees who:

  • Are employed by the district on Sep 6, 2022
  • Watch a short video and complete the form in an email sent by Dr. Pearce on Wednesday, August 10.
  • The form MUST be completed by Friday, August 19.
  • If you did not receive Dr. Pearce's email please contact your immediate supervisor.

Full time employees who complete these items will receive a one time payment of $750 to be included in their September paycheck. Part time employees will receive $375 in their September paycheck.

District Offices Closed Friday Afternoon, August 12

On Friday, August 12, all district offices will be closed in the afternoon, as all phone and internet services will be down at every building during routine utility maintenance. That work will be happening near Republic Middle School, which means the power to that building will also be turned off during that time.

Our buildings will still be accessible, so teachers may work in their classrooms if they choose. However, there will be no printing or copying available. RMS is the only building that will not have power, and therefore no air conditioning. All staff whose duties don't require phone or internet access may continue their day as usual. Those who need internet connection may work from home that afternoon, but will not be able to remote into their office desktop.

Elementary and EC class lists will still be posted at buildings by 4 p.m.

New Start & Dismissal Time for Lyon & Sweeny

To assist with the traffic flow issues at Highway 174 and Main, Lyon and Sweeny elementaries will have new start and dismissal times, as well as car line patterns for the 2022-23 school year. This is a short-term solution until a more permanent, long-term solution can be implemented to physically adjust these car lines (which continues to be a discussion with the City and local landowners).

Details about these changes were communicated to families in each building's back to school newsletters. Lyon's can be found HERE and Sweeny's can be found HERE.
