On Monday, March 11th, we celebrated the swearing-in of our newest cohort of advocates:

We are so glad that you're joining us in this important service and look forward to your advocacy!

Our next training session will begin in April. We'd love to speak with people you know who want to build healthy outcomes for children in our community. Think of your friends, family, groups, and local hangouts that might allow us to display some information. Thanks in advance for helping us keep advocacy alive in our community!

Remote Hearing Request

Earlier this month, CASA of the Fox Cities was invited to attend a Systems Collaboration meeting with Outagamie County. The meeting included supervisors from the Department of Children, Youth, and Families, the Clerk of Courts, and Assistant District Attorneys. Maria and Whitney represented CASA. They found the meeting informative and were happy to be welcomed back for future meetings.

During the meeting, Assistant District Attorneys made a specific request:

When attending hearings via Pexip, display your full name and CASA.

Here's what you can do:

When you click to enter the courtroom remotely, you'll first see a box like this.

Typically, from here we'll click "Join through browser." If you click the phone icon, you will need to have the Pexip app installed on your device.

When you click "Join through browser" you see a window like this.

Before clicking "Join now", be sure your name is typed in full, and include CASA. It could look like it does in the image, or you could type your first name, and last name, and then follow it with CASA.

Hearing Preparation With Your Coordinator

Your coordinator may remind you of this when you prepare for your next hearing. This is also a good time to ask any questions about what to expect and collaborate in crafting a verbal update for the court.

Join us Monday, March 25th at 5:30 PM

So far, 10 advocates have registered for this unique opportunity to explore the many ways we make a difference. We want to see so many of you at the first of four CASA Cafes on Monday, March 25th.

During this session, we'll learn what HOPE is, and follow a conversation cafe style of facilitated discussion to explore Relationships as a component of creating healthy outcomes for the children and families we serve.
