As you have likely read in the news, the City of Houston is poised to enter into an agreement with the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association regarding firefighter pay. Constituents have lots of questions about this new deal, and I, along with my colleague Council Member Tiffany Thomas, have been working to get answers for you. Below is a letter we drafted and sent to Mayor John Whitmire in an effort to gain better clarity around how to best support the firefighters. Please read the letter below.
