It is not too late to give at work this fall!
Despite recent headlines, and regardless of election outcome, we each have the power to make positive change
in Maine.
Each fall MaineShare partners with over 100 organizations throughout the state as we advocate for the missions of the 44 organizations we represent. The MaineShare Annual
Fall Appeal, entering its 30th year in 2019, has the potential to reach 60,000 people working for federal, state, regional, municipal, private and nonprofit organizations serving Maine. Yet, many people do not know that MaineShare allows them to give to up to 44 Maine-based progressive organizations at once by selecting MaineShare as a giving choice at work!
This is where you come in!
Whether you are a business partner, member organization representative, workplace donor, or individual donor, your
voice will help to spread the word - that giving to MaineShare
will impact over 44 Maine
organizations at once - is powerful.
Imagine, if 50% of the 60,000 people who are able to give to MaineShare as part of their workplace campaign each year gave
even $2.00 per pay period? If this happened, each of our member organizations would realize over $35,000 in additional funding in 2019! Though optimistic, it is absolutely possible.
Word of mouth is invaluable
and a long tradition in Maine, where neighbors, friends, and family can remind us of things important to all of us.
Collectively, we are the most important force for change that we want to see.
As you have conversations about the world you want to see, please, take a moment to share the fact that when more people support organizations working every day for positive change - by giving at work
or individually, in any amount
and from year to year - the combined potential impact is both immediate and sustainable. MaineShare is here to help!
Whether or not your workplace hosts MaineShare,
please spread the word!
- Follow the MaineShare facebook page @maineshare. Like and Follow our page so that we can share our Member Group news and events with you as you share with others;
- Introduce MaineShare to a new potential workplace partner. Ask your friends if their employers offer the MaineShare Appeal. If not, send them to our website for more information and let us know.
- And of course, if the spirit of community giving inspires you, invite everyone around you to give directly to the cause or causes they care about in one gift to MaineShare at www.maineshare.org.

It takes committed people, collective effort, and a flow of funding to make Maine a great place to live and work. MaineShare's community
of 44 member organizations work toward solutions for human and environmental issues every day. They need our help more than ever.
With your help, we raise awareness about these issues, reach out to people across the state, and engage thousands of donors. MaineShare has raised and distributed over 5.2 million in funds for our member groups since we began.
In 2019 we will reach our 30th year and though we are proud of this milestone, we now need to engage more donors, leverage our collective voices, and increase giving to make a bigger impact.
We need YOU, now more than ever!
E
very dollar you give to this campaign is multiplied. Your generous investment now will help expand the collaborative fundraising efforts among MaineShare's member groups and workplace partners. These efforts will steadily increase overall giving, resulting in $1 million more dollars for Maine causes in five years.
Your generous donation to our Momentum Campaign provides the resources we need to maximize our efforts, reach further, and do more to sustain and support our groups.
Thank You! With special appreciation,
MaineShare Staff and Board
