CSU Developing Human Capital Management Solution to Replace Current HR Systems & Process

To meet the needs of a modern workforce dedicated to fulfilling Colorado State University's academic, research, and outreach missions, CSU has begun the process of acquiring a state-of-the-art Human Capital Management (HCM) system. Through a multi-campus approach, this cloud-based solution is being developed to address the evolving and diverse operational needs of CSU's Fort Collins and Pueblo campuses.

“This initiative is a great example of bringing together our CSU-System campuses to work on strategic priorities that have been identified, and prioritized, by all. A new Human Capital Management system will be a key component for organizational evolution as we look to new HR practices, processes, and workflows aimed at investing in our people. A key part of the success of this initiative is active representation from across the CSU-System in our project planning, governance, and implementation teams,” said Brandon Bernier, Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer.

CSU Pueblo Media and Entertainment Class to Explore the Future of Media, Technology, and Innovation at SXSW

PUEBLO,CO - Nine CSU Pueblo students will embark on an experiential class at South by Southwest (SXSW) in hopes of gaining an edge on their education and careers. The on-site portion of the class will take place March 7 to 17 in Austin, TX, where students will attend twenty industry sessions, film premiers, music showcases, keynotes, and tradeshows. During the last half of the trip, students volunteer as part of the music festival, gaining valuable experience from working the event.

In preparation for their trip, students have spent numerous hours researching what SXSW has to offer and planning out their schedules to get the most out of the experience.“Students have been sharing their weekly findings, generating discussion about the significance of various sessions, panels, film premiers, and more. I look forward to following their journey and seeing the impact of this experience on their perspectives and futures,” said Kim Pluskota, Media and Entertainment faculty and instructor for the course.

NEW: Holi Festival of Colors Tie-Die Event

On behalf of The Center for Student Support and Advocacy

What is Holi Festival?

The Holi Festival (or festival of colors) is a fascinating cultural and religious celebration that encompasses throwing colors at each other’s, dancing, partying and much more. Holi is a celebration of the victory of good over evil.

What Is Holi Celebrated for?

Holi is a Hindu festival that has been celebrated since ancient times. The Holi Festival is celebrated as a way to welcome in spring, and also is seen as a new beginning where people can release all their inhibitions and start fresh.

Who Celebrates Holi Festival?

The Holi Festival is primarily celebrated by Hindus. That said, the festival is a very inclusive, as one of the main themes of the festival is unity. So, while the Holi Festival is rooted in Hindu tradition, it is a celebration that happens all over the world. It brings people together and invites them to throw away their inhibitions, feeling united in one big colorful group.

What Is the Holi Festival Like? How is it celebrated?

The Holi Festival is wild: think big crowds, colored dye, water guns, music, dancing, and partying. During the Holi Festival, people dance through the streets and throw colored dye on each other. The Holi Festival is a happy time when people come together as one and let go of their inhibitions.

REMINDER: Changes to the Aladdin Catering Billing Process

On behalf of Auxiliary Services

This notice is a reminder regarding catering invoice billing and CaterTrax. A change was implemented to the Aladdin Catering Billing Process, these changes went into effect January 2nd, 2024.

Please review the following:

Payment Methods:

All catering bookings will be processed using a P-Card, replacing the use of an index code/account number.

If Order Exceeds P-Card Limit:

If the catering expense is expected to exceed the P-Card limit of $3,000, you will need to initiate a purchase order in the KFS system. This should be completed at minimum 10 days prior to the event. A purchase order number should be sent to Jerry Carter with Aladdin.

If Your Department Does Not Have a P-Card:

You will need to work with Cabinet-level supervisory authorities to utilize division or other department cards.

Authorized Business Function Forms (ABFFs):

To ensure seamless service, all ABFFs must be submitted at minimum, 10 days prior to the event. Please note that Aladdin has been instructed not to service any catering without the submission of this form or a P-card on file.

Payment Confirmation:

For transactions processed through the P-Card, you will receive a "Paid" invoice upon the completion of your event. This invoice will serve as your official receipt for the transaction.

Questions?

If you have questions or need further clarification on the new billing process, reach out to Josh Gurley at extension 2611.

We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to providing you with an improved catering billing experience.
