Bromley, and illuminated sculptural lanterns highlighting the fragility of marine life by Kristian Brevik.

Last chance: Mattison + Sexton

On view through September 3, 2023

This weekend is your last chance to see two stunning exhibitions that have drawn record-smashing crowds. Eclectic paper mâché sculptural works march through the gallery in Lix Sexton’s Out of Water. “...the lifelike wearable sculptures draw attention to a variety of beings that rely on aquatic ecosystems for survival.” (Colossal). Concurrently, ceramicist Courtney Mattison’s solo exhibition reminds us of the fragile beauty of living coral reefs. “Artist and ocean advocate Courtney Mattison wants to bring the beauty of the sea above the surface” (Minnesota Public Radio).
