Rock Hall: Best sunset spots

Rock Hall is home to some of the Chesapeake Bay's best viewing locales to watch the sun go down – year-round. Here are some of our top spots.

Haven Harbour South – Of course, our backyard tops the list. The beach at Haven Harbour South during golden hour and sunset, as pictured above, is unmatched. No matter the season, the odds of seeing a dazzling drop of the sun are always great here. Add to the experience with a drink or tasty treat from nearby Admirals Club Beachside Bar.

Ferry Park – Watch sun caress wave and sand at Rock Hall's Ferry Park beach. Other evening viewing treats that may be seen here include the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, the passing of cargo ships and the glowing lights of Baltimore.

Sharp Street Pier – Sunset on the pier at the foot of Sharp Street is an often overlooked scenic point of interest. Take in the harbor views under a sky of pink and yellow hues.

Community: Haven Harbour continues with Adopt-A-Highway

It was a light lift on MD-20 Tuesday morning as just two bags of roadside trash were collected – a road that is now two bags cleaner nonetheless. Our ongoing participation in the Maryland State Highway Administration's Adopt-A-Highway program led several staff members this week to the shoulders of Rock Hall's main artery.

Those who lent a helping hand included Haven Harbour Marina's Toby Perry, Rick McGuire and Taylor Stevens, as well as Haven Harbour South's Graeme Pratt and Marketing Intern Brinkley Dolgos.
