Firethorne Exchange
July 2022
No Fireworks Please!

Fireworks are against Deed Restrictions in Firethorne. When you purchased your home you agreed to adhere to all the rules of the neighborhood. Some families purposely chose Firethorne as their home because fireworks are prohibited. Fireworks can be extremely upsetting to dogs, small children and people suffering from PTSD, as well as others. There is also a burn ban in effect in Fort Bend County indicating vegetation is very dry and fires can start and spread easily.

Please be considerate of your neighbors.

Anyone in the neighborhood interested in taking part in a community service opportunity? The HOA is looking for help with the lowering and raising of the neighborhood flags when necessary. Community Reminders

  • You must have your key fob with you to get into the pools. The life guards will turn you away without your fob.

  • There are many varieties of wildlife around Katy. Be mindful when letting small pets outside alone.

  • When visiting the pools with guests you are only allowed 4 guests per household not per fob.

  • Firethorne is a safe place to live but you still shouldn't leave valuables in your car when visiting the pools and parks. Be sure to always lock your car doors.

  • Basketball Goals cannot be in the street, this includes culs-de-sac.

  • Please do not tape flyers to any poles or mailboxes throughout the neighborhood.

  • Yield to pedestrians in crosswalks. Please stay alert and free of distractions while driving.

  • Parking by the mailboxes is for short term parking ONLY while you are picking up your mail. Do not park in these areas overnight.

  • Please help to keep our bathrooms clean. If you make a mess, clean it up before you leave.

  • Please use your fobs when entering the gym. You must be 16 or older to enter the Fitness Center.

  • You must exit the Fitness Center by 11pm or you will set off the security alarm.

  • Trash Cans MUST be out of view from the street. Do not leave cans at the curb when it is not a trash pick up day (Wednesday/Saturday).

  • If you have books to donate to the Little Free Library by the main playgroup you may drop them off at the HOA Management Office.

  • Check around the exterior siding of your home for any mildew and address any problem areas.

  • Fence height may not exceed 6ft 6in. Any fence facing the street, drainage areas or any other common areas must remain at 6ft. Click here for more info.

  • If you are unable to fit your trash in a neighborhood trash can while enjoying the amenities please bring it home to dispose of properly. Overflowing trash cans or stacked bags by the gym trash cans are not a good look for the neighborhood.
