Hello from Haiti!
We asked, and you gave!
Back in April we presented a need for over-the-counter medicine and other supplies for the clinic in Haiti. The reason for this is so that the funding we receive can be used to purchase prescription medicine in Haiti, rather than using that funding for things we can easily supply from the U.S. It extends our purchasing power in Haiti. We set up an Amazon Charity List in April where you could purchase much needed medicine and supplies. You gave in abundance! We shipped 11 boxes to Haiti and all have been received. The clinic staff is in the process of organizing everything and they can start using what you sent.
Here's a word of thanks from the clinic...
As the clinic staff has been discovering everything you provided, clinic administrator Roselene Sinord sent this message of thanks: "Good afternoon Dr. Oris. We received 11 boxes of medicine. Mister Gethro came with them for us. We thank you and your team that you thought of us and sent medicine. It is helping us greatly so that we can care for our patients."
There is still more to come!
We hope this note is encouraging to all of you. It may seem like a small thing to purchase a bottle of medicine, some gloves, or maybe a blood pressure cuff, but you can see it all matters. Your giving touched people all the way down in the Caribbean!
We will have even more news soon. Last month we made you aware of a need for a solar power system. Here again, you gave generously and immediately. The equipment is on order and will arrive in Georgia soon, where it will be staged. More news will be coming soon!
As always, we are grateful for your prayers and generosity.
