Hello, organizing clients and friends-

Part of my service for clients is to deep clean while we're decluttering and organizing, so I frequently get questions about cleaning products. Here are my favorites that are a joy to use.

My top 10 cleaning products: (this is not an ad)

Palmolive Original dish soap - makes excellent bubbles, degreases fast

Scotch-Brite kitchen sponges - more effective than brushes or washcloths

Flour-sack kitchen towels - highly absorbent without leaving lint

Melamine sponges - best for laminate surfaces and hardcore cleaning jobs

PineSol Original - for linoleum floors, smells so fresh

Chamberlain's Leather Milk - for leather furniture, smells delicious

Original Bee's Wax Furniture Polish - gives wood furniture a gentle glow

Weiman's Stainless Steel Cleaner - makes surfaces gleam, smells great

Dial Gold liquid hand soap - what my grandma used; probably why I love it

The Stripes Company tea towels - absorbent hand towels for the kitchen
Before & after: home office
This client wanted a calm home office. By decluttering and utilizing shelf space in this room's closet (not pictured) we found that the white bureau wasn't necessary for extra storage, so we moved it out. This freed up floor space to create a quiet reading corner.
Before & after: family art room
When working on children's bedrooms and playrooms, my clients and I are careful to respect their kids' autonomy and preferences while also making the spaces functional for everyone.

This client wanted to update the family art room to make space for their current projects and interests. She had her teenager's permission for us to declutter the room except for her desk in the corner that we left untouched.

After decluttering and cleaning, there is now plenty of space to make art, plus the room feels twice as big. Another bonus: the client donated huge bags of gently-used board games, crafting supplies, books, and toys that I took to the fabulous nonprofits Seattle ReCreative and Westside Baby.
