Avoid Rising Electricity Rates with Lexington’s Community Choice Program

Massachusetts residents are facing unprecedented increases in energy prices. Eversource recently announced that its Basic Service Rate for electricity is rising from $0.17871/kWh to $0.25649/kWh. That’s a 43.52% increase. This new rate will be in effect from January to June of 2023.

Thankfully, Lexington has a Community Choice Electricity Aggregation program that has provided residents with significant savings since the program’s launch in 2017.

Lexington’s Community Choice customers have saved around $10 million between January and June 2023. By the end of June 2023, the program will have saved customers a total of $20 million since the program’s launch.

Many in the community are enrolled--are you?
