Dear Sima,

You are invited to apply now for Queens College internal scholarships for funds ranging from $250 to $2,500. Most of these scholarships will be applied toward the Spring 2024 semester. The deadline for these applications is October 10. There are three scholarships which are still available for Fall 2023, one of which, the Esther’s Book Fund, provides funds to purchase textbooks. The deadline for these scholarship applications is August 31.

Applications no longer require two letters of recommendation; it is optional to include them as additional endorsements. Some scholarships require full-time standing. Most also require that you have filed the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Check the criteria for the different opportunities by clicking on each scholarship on the list.

Review the scholarship list and application page carefully. See the scholarship list here.

Apply for scholarships here, following the instructions below.

  1. Log in using your CAMS account.
  2. After logging in, click on “General Application.” Enter your CUNY ID and click “submit.”
  3. Go back to “My Applications” and complete the Honors and Scholarships application. This application will allow you to be eligible for most of our opportunities.
  4. After you complete and submit the Honors and Scholarships application, you should return to the scholarship list to see if any still indicate “Apply Now.” If you think you are eligible for any of these additional scholarships, click on them and answer the additional questions required for those scholarships.

Many scholarships are available for students in specific majors. If you are considering a major, you should declare it as soon as possible in order to become eligible for major-specific scholarships. This will also enable us to notify you when new major-specific scholarships become available. We recommend that you frequently check the scholarship list as we regularly add new opportunities.

Please ensure that your Queens College email account and CAMS account are set up, as you will need these to access the scholarship application. You will also be notified of any awards you receive through your QC email account. Check your QC email often, and please make sure that your account does not treat as spam anything from an account that ends with “@qc.cuny.edu.”
