Summit Parking Garage
Open To Public at Night
Beginning Monday, August 8th the general public will have access to 150 covered parking spaces located on the first two levels of the Summit Building’s parking garage. The Parking Agreement specifies that no less than 150 non-exclusive parking spaces will be available as free public parking from 6:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., Monday through Friday and 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. 

Interim City Commissioner
The Lakeland City Commission will be appointing an Interim City Commissioner to replace Commissioner Phillip Walker who must vacate his seat because he is running for state office.

The appointment for the Interim City Commissioner will be made by the Lakeland City Commission on September 19th and the chosen candidate will assume office on November 7, 2022, for a one-year term that ends on December 31, 2023.

The City of Lakeland is looking for insight into the awareness of, and hopes for, our recreation facilities. This survey will focus on City of Lakeland recreation centers and their programming.
The Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Department recently partnered with the Historic Lake Morton Neighborhood Association to raise money to install decorative lights on one of the grand oaks located on the lawn of the Lakeland Public Library.

Citizens Action Center
The City of Lakeland Citizens Action Center serves as a central communications point for citizens to report a concern, make an inquiry or ask questions.
