Do You Think Child Sacrifice is a Thing of the Past?
Good morning and blessings to you.

The Tanakh describes child sacrifice in the most abhorrent terms. Commonplace practice among the Canaanites in biblical times, Judaism prohibited it and rendered the death penalty as punishment for anyone engaging in the practice.

Leviticus 18:21. "And thou shalt not give any of your offspring to pass through for Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God. I am the Lord."

Leviticus 20:2. "And to the children of Israel, you shall say: Any man of the children of Israel or of the strangers who sojourn among Israel, who gives any of his offspring to Molech, shall surely be put to death; the people of the land shall pelt him with stones."

Psalm 106:35-39. "And they mingled with the nations and learned their deeds. They worshipped their idols, which became a snare for them, They slaughtered their sons and daughters to the demons. They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters whom they slaughtered to the idols of Canaan, and the land became polluted with the blood. And they became unclean through their deeds, and they went astray with their acts."

In his Mishneh Torah, Maimonides lists child sacrifice as the 7th negative commandment.

This ban was based on the premise that Judaism sees procreation and child bearing as obligations to God. Each human being, created in the Divine Image, contains a spark of holiness and the potential to fulfill a Divine mission during their lifetime. Each child has inherent worth and dignity, and we have a responsibility to protect children as they grow and mature.

It's easy to be seduced by a secular culture that denies the inherent value and dignity of the human being. We're surrounded by lies, deceptions, and propaganda from progressives, abortion industry marketers, and corrupted theologians who benefit from the spiritually confused, vulnerable and frightened. Many of us have suffered deeply from the traps that have been set for us. Thankfully, many of us have learned from our experience and grown confident in a renewed relationship with HaShem. We embrace our own value and dignity and that of our children, and seek to heal the world by demonstrating this foundational Jewish principal to others.

This recently published 2:32 min video, Modern Child Sacrifice, shows a sinister connection between the ancient rite of child sacrifice and modern abortion. The pagan god to whom we sacrifice our children may be different, but the idolatry and spiritual bankruptcy that normalizes it remain the same. It's simultaneously mesmerizing and horrifying in the stark message it coveys. Please share it.
Moral clarity helps us resist the insidious messages of death surrounding us. The American Association fo Pro-Life OBGYNs (AAPLOG) lists their positions on many issues related to abortion. We find these to be very helpful, so we'll be adding one to our newsletter in the coming weeks.
