Fall Aspirations in Academia

It’s fall already. How is that possible?? On the one hand, there is still time for get-aways and enjoying time with family and friends. On the other hand, the mind is shifting to the start of contracts, of responsibilities for the fall, of back-to-school sales, preparing D2L and Teams sites, and trying to figure out remote/hybrid/face-to-face meeting schedules. In the typical pattern of academic life, there is always change and adaptation – sometimes met with joy and anticipation and other times met with a bit more resignation. But it’s part of what it means to be in an academic institution at any level – being part of the cycles of the academic year. (Read more about aspirations)

Jennifer Green

College of Natural Science

Associate Professor, Department of Statistics & Probability

Associate Professor, Program in Mathematics Education (PRIME)

"Dr. Green truly is my favorite statistics professor. Her passion and love for her subject is clearly shown in her smile every time a student asks a question. Throughout this last semester, her enthusiasm and kindness have impacted me in a very positive manner. I was really intimidated going into her STT442 class as I felt like I would not do well in an advanced stats class but the way she broke down every concept and was always eager to answer questions quickly changed that. Thank you so much for that Dr. Green!!"
