Rosemary's Thyme Restaurant and the neighbors of Swann Street will once again be providing a Thanksgiving feast for those without a place to go for the holiday.
Volunteers to help set up and serve are needed in two shifts:
9:30 -11:45 AM; 11:45 AM - 2 PM.
Donations of clothing for winter also warmly welcome. Drop off at Rosemary Thyme anytime.

Leaf Collection in Dupont

DPW will collect leaves twice from each neighborhood between November 5, 2018 and January 19, 2019. There are 4 collection ‘zones’ in Ward 2. Check
the DPW website
or check the leaf brochure you should have received in the mail to find out exactly when your neighborhood is scheduled for collection. Better yet, take advantage of the new option to receive alerts via text message or email when DPW leaf collection crews will be coming through your neighborhood. To receive alerts,

Women Photojournalists of Washington Hillyer Exhibit

The Hillyer presents the work of Evelyn Hockstein an award-winning photojournalist who was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. Based in Washington, DC, Evelyn has worked in more than 70 countries and her recent adventures have included climate change north of the Bering Strait, climbing in Pakistan for a story about the only female mountain rescue team, and scaling rigs in North Dakota for a project on the oil-rich Bakken.
Doors open at 6:30 and the program begins at 7:00 followed by a reception from 8:00-8:30. Admission is free but a donation is suggested.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like....

Heurich House Museum

Dupont Circle holiday shoppers can experience a festive German-style market, the Heurich House Museum’s Christkindlmarkt at the Heurich House. Craft makers based in DC, Maryland, and Virginia will sell their goods in the museum’s Castle Garden. Visitors can also tour the historic home of the Heurich family that will be decorated for Christmas.
On Friday evening the museum will feature products Made in DC. On Saturday, the museum will feature products made all over the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Pop-up performances will take place throughout the weekend.
Admission is $15 for adults, $3 for children (2-12), $20 for the VIP and $25 for Early Access.

Support the Ross Elementary PTA and pick up (or opt for delivery) of your Holiday Tree. A variety of beautiful trees in all sizes are available, including wreaths and tree stands. This year we are offering two types of popular Christmas trees: the Fraser Fir and, in limited sizes, the Balsam Fir – both are the most popular varieties of trees.
If you purchase through the online store before December 6, you will receive a discount. You can opt to pick up your tree or have it delivered to your house (within the delivery area). Pre-purchased trees can be picked up or delivered on December 8 or 9.

Homeless Children’s Playtime Project during the holiday season.
