Community & Connection
January has seemed like a long month for so many. Yet despite all the changes this month, what stands out most is the incredible heart and generosity of our Da Vinci community in supporting the Los Angeles wildfire relief efforts.
In collaboration with Pass It Forward and numerous community groups, our Da Vinci community donated 2,012 meals to firefighters, wildfire victims, volunteers, and others in need.
If you are a Da Vinci family who has been personally affected by the fires, please reach out to us so that we can offer support and resources. The health and safety of our students is our top priority. If you or someone you know is in need of resources at this time, please feel free to share this resource list.
Our community continues to thrive, and together, we will move forward with resilience, compassion, and a shared commitment to creating a brighter, more connected future for all.

Small Schools, Big Impact: Designing for Belonging & Connectedness
The month of January has been impactful for many – from the wildfires impacting all Angelenos in some way to the changes in presidential leadership. For some, the changes are welcomed and easy, and for others, the changes may be hard and require resilience.
As we navigate the hardships and the opportunities, we want to remind everyone of Da Vinci’s unique approach to supporting students and families, our deep commitment to building belonging and connectedness within our schools, and the resources that are available to all students and their families.

Celebrating Neurodiversity: Understanding, Acceptance and Empowerment
Da Vinci Communications, Da Vinci Design, and Da Vinci Science came together to celebrate the first-ever, collaborative Neurodiversity Celebration Week!
A series of events were held throughout the week that emphasized that there is no one correct way to think, learn, or experience the world. The focus was on normalizing differences and creating inclusive, accepting spaces for students with disabilities such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and Tourette Syndrome, while fostering a culture of understanding and support.
