2022 IYM
Annual Sessions
IYM’s Annual Sessions involved a wonderful weekend of musical worship (led by Jake and Melinda Brown), challenging teaching (from main speaker Dr. Derek Brown), and life-giving reports from committees, work groups, and individuals. We also heard from John Muhanji (FUM African Ministries) in the Missions Luncheon, and in a workshop about Kairos training. Affiliate organizations: FUM, Barclay College, EFM, Josiah White’s, and Quaker Haven shared as well. We also met our $120,000 goal for the 2023 budget and got a good start on the 2024 campaign. A word that many used throughout the weekend was refreshing. We did have bandwidth trouble with the live-streaming. The Sessions that we meant to live- stream were recorded and will be posted to the IYM Facebook page and/or the IYM website.

Pat Byers will be leading a workshop on Worship in Music at Maple Run Friends on September 1 from 6:30-8 pm. Anyone who leads music or is part of a Worship/ Music team is welcome!

Growing Young is a study that Fuller Seminary did a while back on what churches who have a lot of young people are doing to maintain that status. Katy Moran has been trained as a Growing Young trainer for church leaders. She will be doing a workshop at Maple Run Friends on November 5.

From the Advancement Committee:
Damon Seacott reported at IYM Sessions that for the 2023 fundraising effort, we raised a total of $120,922 on a goal of $120,000. Praise God! Thank you to all who have sacrificially given to help us reach this goal!

From the Christian Service Committee:
Kristi Clark led a wonderful workshop at IYM Sessions on the work going on in downtown Wabash to put several Christian Service organizations under one roof. Judy Dennis-Myers was unable to do her workshop due to COVID. We hope to find another time in the year when she can present.
