July Spotlight - Telehealth Coordinator Training
This fall, a new course entitled Telehealth Coordinator Training, will be offered through LCCC Outreach and Workforce Development. Ideal candidates for this course include the following current or aspiring medical personnel: IT staff, support staff, office managers, medical assistants and any other position in charge of coordinating telehealth services.

The 16-week, on-line and self paced training provides a comprehensive review of clinical, operational, regulatory and ethics of telehealth service delivery. Students learn core concepts to support implementation of telehealth projects and engage in use of telehealth technologies for healthcare delivery. The course was developed in collaboration with the University of Wyoming Telehealth Network and the Health Information Technology and Management program at LCCC.

Course curriculum is aligned with current telehealth principles, preparing individuals to lead the implementation of telehealth services in healthcare. Basic proficiency level in Microsoft Office Suite and medical terminology are recommended. To be considered for this course, please call 307-772-7351 or email jmoye@lccc.wy.edu

Telehealth Trauma-Focused Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy Study
The University of Wyoming Department of Psychology is conducting a research study, offering telehealth trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) at no cost for autistic youth/youth with autism between the ages of 10 and 17. The study will take place entirely virtually through HIPAA-secure Zoom videoconferencing, so families throughout Wyoming are eligible to participate. Involvement would consist of 12 weekly sessions of TF-CBT in addition to an initial assessment, and two follow-up assessments after the intervention. All visits will be over Zoom, and there will be no in-person contact. Families may be compensated up to $400 for full participation in the study.

ProviderBridge.org was created by the Federation of State Medical Boards through the CARES Act and the FORHP-supported Licensure Portability Grant Program. The site provides up-to-date information on emergency regulation and licensing by state as well as a provider portal to connect volunteer health care professionals to state agencies and health care entities.
Monkeypox Clinical Guidance

The Wyoming Department of Health is closely tracking the spread of monkeypox across the United States. Early data suggest that gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men account for a high number of these cases. However, anyone who has been in contact with someone who has monkeypox is at risk. Therefore, we are urging healthcare providers in Wyoming to be alert for patients who have a rash illness consistent with monkeypox
Wyoming Telehealth Consortium
The Wyoming Telehealth Consortium is the central meeting space to discuss the programs, success/challenges, and discuss ideas on improving the use of telehealth in the state. The Consortium meets on the last Tuesday of every month, from 3:00 - 4:30 pm. Anyone interested in building telehealth is encouraged to attend.
