Hello everybody!
Happy Catholic Schools Week! We kicked off our celebration at the 11:00 a.m. mass last Sunday and many activities throughout the week will highlight for our students the theme United in Faith and Community. Many thanks to our PTO for their efforts at coordinating the activities this week and to all of our families for the faith decision and the sacrifices they make to make our St. Patrick Catholic School a vibrant ministry of education and formation for all of our students. Representatives from all of our Archdiocesan Catholic Schools gathered for mass this morning with Archbishop Shelton. We are truly blessed and are better together! We'd also like to recognize parishioner, Amy Bohanon, who was the recipient of the Outstanding School Volunteer Award. Amy is involved in a variety of parish and school ministries and we are grateful for the gifts of stewardship that she shares with us.
We also kicked off our second phase of the initiative with St. Meinrad and funded by the Lily Foundation to increase children’s participation in the liturgy. We introduced a weekly video series, Sunday Best with Church Mouse Jess, that connects the weekly reading to the younger members of our community. If you’re interested, please check out the first video HERE.
I hope you will be able to join me for the two night presentation of our parish mission, Mass Confusion, this coming Sunday and Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the church. This promises to be an enjoyable and informative opportunity to take the next best step on each of our faith journeys. No registration needed. See you there!
May God bless you and keep you in his love.
Peace,
Fr. Jeff
