In Memoriam~
We are saddened to share news of the passing of dedicated VAM member Brianna Morris last month. Brianna served as the Executive Director of the Westmoreland County Museum in Montross, VA, and was an engaged museum leader in our tight-knit Northern Neck community. A passionate VAM member, Brianna joined over 50 VAM programs and meetings throughout the Commonwealth and online during her thirteen-year tenure at the museum. Brianna's memory will live on at the Westmoreland County Museum, throughout the Northern Neck National Heritage Area, and with all of us in the VAM community.
We extend our deepest sympathy to Brianna's family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. A memorial service for her museum community is being planned for later this spring and her family has requested donations in Brianna’s memory be made to the Westmoreland Museum.
In this time of sorrow, we remember the life that Brianna lived and commit to honor her memory, emulating her dedication to the community, museums, and education.
