The Arts are alive and well in Waupaca! Because of your past support with your attendance at events and donations the Waupaca Community Arts Board has had a busy year. The Waupaca Community Arts Board (WCAB) events you’ve helped support have provided the community with opportunities to gather, hear live music, be inspired by art and artists, and enjoy a range of art activities.

Your support of the arts makes a difference! Nurturing creativity through arts and music benefits individuals, families, and our community. Creativity builds problem-solving skills, boosts self-esteem, provides a sense of accomplishment, relieves stress, and improves memory. Communities rich with arts and culture have increased neighborhood livability, community identity, community ownership, sense of pride, social connection, and overall desirability.

With your generous support, WCAB has provided the Waupaca community with the following events, community projects, arts programming, and outreach. For more details on these activities go to our website!

Events:

• Arts on the Square and ARTicipation Week- bringing over 3000 people to the downtown area.
• Summer Nights Concert Series- 5 Concerts, with an average attendance of over 300 people.
• The Irish Wake
• Poetry Month Events 
• Waupaca Local Live monthly radio shows with regional artists
• Bach Festival
• Chick Night 

Community Projects:

• “Woven all Together” a collaboration between the Arts Hub and The Waupaca Library

Arts Programming: 

• The Arts Hub, Where Creativity Comes to Grow!

WCAB’s mission is to build community through the arts, and we’ve begun planning 2024 events that support the arts, inspire creativity, and bring joy to Waupaca and surrounding community residents. In this ever-changing world, we will continue to find ways to connect people to each other, to our community, and to the world at large through the arts.  We cannot wait to show you what we have in store for 2024!!!
