Congrats to New Mexico Governor, Michelle Grisham, who issued an Executive Order that sets two directives to the Department of Education
- The department must complete a comprehensive review of administrative reporting requirements for schools and school districts;
- By the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year in August, the department must streamline those requirements in a way that cuts the amount of time spent by teachers and administrators to meet them by 25%;
Ohio charter school authorizers are required to submit thousands of compliance items annually to ODE. Are these all necessary? Do they have a positive impact on the education of our students? Help our schools run more efficiently?
As one Ohio sponsor recently stated: Revising the sponsor evaluation system would help greatly.
