St. Lorenz' First Christmas Shop a Success
In 2024, we at St. Lorenz, Frankenmuth made changes to our long-standing Caring Tree program. To better align with our desire to share God’s love with those who are working hard to make ends meet and still experience financial hardships, this year we hosted a Christmas Shop in the Worship Center Lobby for three days the first week of December. The items donated by those who took tags off of the Caring Trees were sold at the Christmas Shop.

LCMS 2024 CONGREGATION STATISTICS AND LAY LEADER UPDATES
All congregations should have received an email last week regarding the LCMS 2024 Statistics and Lay Leader Updates. The information is submitted through LISN which is found here: https://lc.lcms.org/. If you cannot remember the username and/or password for your congregation, follow the on-screen helps on the login page to recover your credentials. CALL PROCESS REMINDERS
Any congregation that calls a worker on the Commissioned Roster, or any worker on the roster who receives a call, needs to be sure to notify the District Office when calls are issued and then also notify us of the outcome of the call. Please keep in mind that any worker who is a member of the Roster of Synod has to be called, not contracted, even if the position is part-time. For more information regarding the call process, please click here or call the District Education Office.

LOVE BASKETS FOR CUAA
Share the love of Jesus by contributing items for "Love Baskets" to encourage the 250 students remaining at CUAA. The Concordia Guild will be collecting gum/mints/chocolate until February 9, when they will assemble and distribute the baskets. LFL MICHIGAN ESSAY CONTEST
Lutherans For Life of Michigan invites students in schools and churches to submit an essay to its annual essay contest. This year's theme is “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made” based on Psalm 139:13–14. There is one contest for students in grades 6-8 and one for students in grades 9-12. Click here for contest rules.
