Mayan Covarrubias, Girls Golf State Qualifier!

Senior Mayan Covarrubias is representing RB at the IHSA Girls Golf State Finals! This is her third time qualifying for state. At sectionals, she shot a 73 to finish 4th overall. She teed off at 10:36 a.m. today. Good luck, Mayan!

Happy World Smile Day!

World Smile Day encourages people to engage in acts of kindness and embrace positivity. Students wrote notes of acknowledgment to staff and passed out smiley face stickers. Thanks to Best Buddies and Student Association for facilitating these activities!

Young Community Changemakers

Young Community Changemakers (YC2) is a leadership development program designed to educate our youth to become our community's next generation of philanthropists. YC2 provided an informational session and students discussed the value they gained from the program.

Dana Rettke stops by RB!

Prior to her return to Italy for her professional volleyball career, Dana Rettke stopped by to see her retired jersey banner and talk to the teams. Dana shared her favorite moments so far playing for USA, the challenges with playing in a different country, and her favorite and most memorable match she has had to far. Dana gave advice to the Varsity Volleyball team as they head into Regionals in the next few weeks. 

Peer Evaluation Breakfast

Yesterday, the Administration hosted a breakfast to kick off the second year of Peer Evaluation and celebrate all the teachers participating. Peer Evaluation is an alternative teacher evaluation method for tenured staff co-designed by the Administration and RBEA.

RB recognized for the AP School Honor Roll!

Riverside Brookfield High School has earned a place on the College Board’s AP School Honor Roll for the 2022-2023 school year! RBHS is recognized as a Gold Honor Roll school for AP, with 2/3 of our markers graded as Platinum. RBHS is also recognized with the AP Access Award, which honors schools that encourage students to take AP courses no matter their backgrounds.
