Cornwall Public Library Newsletter - September 2022
From the Director's Desk...
I can hardly believe that I have to write about September so soon!  September always comes too quickly!  Don't get me wrong, September is one of my favorite months. I have many happy September memories. When I was a kid, I walked to and from school with my sisters. We'd kick leaves that were in our path, listen to them fall, and then crunch under our feet as we walked through them. Then my mind fast-forwards to me walking my kids to CoH when they were young. We had some of our best conversations while we walked!
September, to me, means back to school, and back to routines. I hope your routine includes trips to the library. If it doesn't, come check us out to see what we have to offer. We'll be at the Fall Festival, too, so make sure to say "hello!"

Plastic Film Recycling Challenge

So far we've collected 200 of the 500lbs needed to reach our goal toward a new outdoor bench - HOORAY!!
That said, allow us to provide a few gentle reminders as we go forward:
  • Please make sure the plastic is CLEAN, DRY and FREE of FOOD WASTE.
  • Also, make sure the plastic is stretchy NOT crinkly (a strange, but important distinction!)
  • Finally, please cut out any stickers or labels on plastic packaging.

Staff and volunteers go through the plastic prior to submitting it to NexTrex®, so helping us out is MUCH APPRECIATED. Please see the library website for a more specific list of recyclable materials.
