Join us in scenic Alpine as we preserve the western culture through the work of some of the country's best cowboy poets and musicians.

If you haven't been to this event, it isn't easy to describe, but you can ask any of the club members who have been enjoying this unique event. About twelve rigs from our club attended in 2022. I am sure they will join me in telling you this is a fantastic event not to be missed!

The famous and close to the venue, Lost Alaskan RV Park (https://lostalaskan.com/ 432-837-1136), has agreed to hold a limited number of spaces for a short time, so call soon identifying yourself as a THLAC member to reserve a spot. She will hold the sites until FEBRUARY 1, 2023. This is a rare opportunity to book a site on Gathering weekend exclusively for you as a THLAC member.

I can't emphasize too strongly what a great opportunity this is. All RV sites in Alpine usually book up over a year in advance for the Gathering. So when you book your site with Lost Alaskan, please email me at f2hops@gmail so I know you are going.

Consider extending your stay over Sunday night, as many of us do. You are responsible for the cost of your site ($47 to $57 — they accept Good Sam and veterans discounts) and any cancellation fees.

I am sure you have many questions, so I recommend reviewing the 2023 Gathering at https://lonestarcowboypoetry.com/index.html. In 2024 the program and performers will not be exactly the same, but the format and ticket cost will likely be similar.

I will schedule one or two informal gatherings to complement the Friday and Saturday Gathering events and performances. In the past, we had a dinner on Thursday night at the Alpine Reata and a trip to Fort Davis on Sunday for those extending over Sunday night.

As the date comes closer, I will let you know where we will overnight so you can join us as we travel to/from Alpine.
