ANOTHER REMINDER!!
SPRING CLEAN UP THIS WEEK AND NEXT
As the weather starts to warm up and we all get a little anxious, we wanted to provide the dates for Spring Clean Up to help our RESIDENTIAL customers plan their pick ups!
Leaf COMPOST/MULCH Giveaway Scheduled
On Friday, April 29, 2022 and May 6, 13, 20, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the City of Dover will be giving away free leaf compost and wood chips at Schutte Park. 
Schutte Park is located on Electric Avenue off of Hazlettville Road, west of Proctor & Gamble. Public Works personnel will be onsite for assistance.  
 
Questions concerning this program should be directed to the Department of Public Works at 736-7025.
COMMON CODE VIOLATIONS
To many of us it felt as though Spring would never come - today is a great reminder that is is here, as the warm temperature surrounds us and the sun is shining so brightly!
We all have to love this weather.
Our Code Enforcement Division wanted to give a few reminders on the most common code violations this time of year or frequent ones they are already seeing.

Grass can not exceed 8 inches in height
Commercial vehicles with a carrying capacity of over one ton are prohibited from being parked or stored on a residential lot
ONE commercial vehicle with a carrying capacity of LESS than one ton is permitted to park in a residential neighborhood.
Vehicles parked on the lawn are prohibited. All vehicles are to be parked on an approved hard parking surface.

All trailer, RVs and campers are to be parked behind the front set back and screened from neighboring property.

Yards are to be free from all junk, litter, trash, garbage, and debris.

It is prohibited to have junk/wrecked or unregistered vehicles on a private lot in a residential neighborhood.

St. Patrick's Day Parade.
This was the first city wide event since the pandemic and these two did a FABULOUS job!
The Mayor and Council were joined by thousands of others to take in the beautiful weather and share in the joy of downtown Dover!

Mask mandate in City buildings has been lifted. It is encouraged for those who choose to wear one to do so, but it is no longer mandatory.
