BSK Leadership Visited Florida

... and we had a blast!

Over 3 days, 5 cities and 1,038 miles, David Cassady, BSK President, Abby Sizemore, BSK Admissions Director and me met with 27 friends - some old, some new! We had deep and engaging conversations about theological education and the great need that exists both here in Florida and the Caribbean Islands. Nine friends from the Bahamas joined us in Miami.

As Abby Sizemore shared, "We (BSK) invite both students and churches to come to us with educational needs, rather than us (BSK) approaching churches with our programs and education." BSK is truly perfecting home-grown ministry through in-place learning. To learn more, click the green tab, below.

First Stop, Versailles Restaurant, Miami. We learned and listened to our denominational leaders, pastors, friends and partners from Abaco and Nassau, Rev/Dr Ryan Reed from Christ Journey and Chaplain Asdrubal Forte.

Versailles Restaurant conversations continue...

Next up, First Baptist Church of St Petersburg and friends from Ebenezer, Circle of Friends and Bayshore Baptist.

In Gainesville, we met with First Baptist Gainesville family, Park View Baptist family, and Pat Rayos, pastor and teacher at International Learning Center.

At First Watch in Jacksonville, we met with two BJs :) B J Meyer, Associate Pastor, Central Baptist in Daytona Beach and B J Hutto, Senior Pastor at Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church/ HAB.

It's not too late...

Have you heard?

Passport is going to

Puerto Rico

Next Summer!

Passport's philosophy of identifying where to host camp, especially outside of the continental U.S. is pretty specific. Go where we are welcomed and invited. The family of God is so BIG and we have so much to learn from fellow Christians around the globe. That is why were are excited to share the great news that we are headed to Puerto Rico in 2024.

Thanks to those who helped make introductions along the way. CBF Florida/ Caribbean Islands Ruben Ortiz and American Baptists in Puerto Rico

Can we make our congregations as welcoming as a coffee shop?

An experience at his favorite coffeehouse inspired a Christian leader to reflect on how to cultivate a welcoming organizational culture.
