CARPOOL INFORMATION
Please check your mailboxes by the first week of August for your new carpool cards, as well as vehicle security decals. Also, enjoy a complimentary car magnet to show your school spirit! Be sure to affix your new 2022-2023 decals to your driver's side window and place your carpool card in your car.

Your carpool card will need to be placed in your front windshield when you come through the carpool line daily. It is recommended that you take a picture of your carpool number so that you always have it with you. You may pick up a hanger for your carpool card at Back-2-School Night on August 9 in the dining area.

Your carpool card will include details about how your designated car line works. Please note the specific carpool entrance locations and times on the back of your card. We ask that you do NOT arrive on campus earlier than your designated pickup time, in order to avoid long carpool lines.

It is essential your carpool number is visible to make sure that our carpool system notifies our preschool, lower school, and middle school students in class that you have arrived in the carpool line. Please know that high school students are not directly notified that you are on our campus, therefore, they must independently go to their designated carpool pick-up location immediately after their last class period.

  • If you are picking up a high school student along with your lower school or middle school student, please do not arrive on campus prior to 3:15 p.m., which is the time your high school student is dismissed.
  • If you have a ninth- or tenth-grade student who will be picked up with younger siblings, please review the pick-up location from the back of the carpool card with him/her to ensure that your freshman/sophomore knows where to go each day when he/she is dismissed from the last class period.
  • High school students may be picked up by the high school in yellow carpool or at the Murray Arts Center in the lower lot H using the black carpool card.
  • Preschool, lower, and middle school students may only be picked up in their designated carpool lines!
  • If possible, please drop off in the morning at the same location as your child(ren)'s afternoon pickup. The earliest drop-off time is 7:00 a.m. for early care.
  • Only preschool/TK students may be dropped off at the Sewell Cottage in the morning.

Please have patience the first few weeks of school with our morning and afternoon carpool lines. It does take time for families and students to become familiar with the dismissal routines.
BUS TRANSPORTATION
MPCS offers bus transportation from several locations throughout northwest Atlanta, which include the following areas:

  • Buckhead / Vinings / Smyrna
  • Canton
  • Woodstock
  • West Cobb / Acworth / Powder Springs
  • East Cobb / Marietta

Please click here for more detailed bus stop locations and registration information. Contact Steve Ross at sross@mtparanschool.com with any questions.
KEY FOBS AND CAMPUS ACCESS
The safety and security of your family while on campus is a top priority for MPCS. As such, we keep all building entrances locked during the school day. Cameras are installed at each of the main school building entrances as an added security measure. The front desk will grant visitors access and "buzz" them in during regular school hours using the keypad button to the right of the doors.

Visitors are welcome on campus with an appointment or as a pre-scheduled volunteer. All classroom visitors or volunteers are required to sign-in at the front desks before entering. If you are not feeling well, we ask that you reschedule any on-campus visits.

Key Fob Access for Students
MPCS issues all middle and high school students a personal key fob for entry to the buildings required for their classes. The fobs are for use during school hours only. All teachers have key fobs to each entrance access point.
