The Preschool is hosting a family movie night tomorrow night! The movie is Ice Age, it will be shown in the sanctuary, and it is free. If you want popcorn and movie treats, they will be for sale. This is open to all school and church families!

Calling all members! We need your presence at our annual meeting this Sunday! My apologies, but we have been running behind with getting the annual report out to you. There have been lots of complicating factors, but I won’t bore you with all that. Just know that you should receive the report by tomorrow.

We need your presence on Sunday at noon. You will hear some reports, review the financials, and look at the budget for 2025. And then we will need you to vote. I know it’s not the most exciting thing to do, but it is necessary for us as a non-profit to be transparent and to ask for your vote. So, we invite you, encourage you, and ask you to come to the meeting.

This Sunday is also the 4th Sunday, so we will have our more traditional service at 9:00 am and our Family Service at 10:30 am. At 9:00 we will continue with the lectionary, looking at Jesus’ controversial message to his home crowd in Nazareth. “Is it Good News or is it Bad News!” If you are reading ahead, it is Luke 4: 14-21. At the 10:30 service we will share a message on “the Baptism of Jesus”. This is great timing because we have a baptism class coming up one week from this, Sunday, on February 2 at Noon, right after our worship and fellowship.

If you are interested in learning more about baptism or if you would like to schedule your child’s baptism or if you want to be baptized, please plan to join us for the baptism class. You can sign up by sending an email to office@newcovenantaz.org

We will provide childcare. Please plan to bring your child a lunch! The class is no more than an hour long so you will be on your way in no time.

So, you can see, it is a busy week! But we grateful to be doing ministry with you!

In Christ’s peace,

Pastor Steve
