Meet the Rest of the Team

Most recently Christine was a K-12 Pathway Coordinator for the Southwestern Community College District service area and Director of Adult Education at Coronado Unified. Christine earned her Masters from SDSU and her EdD from the joint UCSD/CSUSM doctoral program. She is looking forward to supporting and expanding partnerships across the region.

Providing administrative coordination for the grant is Mayra Chavez-Franco. Mayra has been the Contracts and Purchasing Specialist for the Foundation for Grossmont and Cuyamaca Colleges for the past 4 years. Before moving to San Diego County, she spent 7 years working at the University of California, Merced as an Academic Senate Analyst and Graduate Division Policy & Strategic Initiatives Manager. Additionally, she worked for Congressman John Garamendi for 3 years. Mayra’s expertise is within graduate education, budget administration, and pre-award and post-award management. She holds a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration and looks forward to continuing to serve the San Diego and Imperial County region.
