According to the forecast, summer has officially arrived! The best way to beat the heat is to STAY HYDRATED! The CDC suggests that you drink a cup (20 oz) of water every 15 to 20 minutes when you're adventuring in the heat. That's about a quarter of a gallon per hour to avoid dehydration and heat stress. The Richmond Flying Squirrels invite Scouts of all ages to come out on July 28th for Scout Night at the Diamond! Gates open at 5:30pm. A Scout Parade (wear your uniforms and bring your unit flags) at 5:45pm, then the game at 6:35pm. For $10, you'll get your ticket, as well as a commemorative patch, the pre-game parade, and a movie and campout on the field.

Join us for a brief presentation (in-person at the Leadership Center or via Zoom) that will help you host a Parent's Meeting that will turn your parents into AMAZING volunteers! This special FREE event is geared toward Cubmasters and Pack Committee Chairs, takes place Thursday, July 13th at 7pm, and is expected to last between 45 minutes to an hour.

The purpose of the ISLT course is to teach Scouts with leadership positions about their new roles and how to most effectively reach success in that role. It is intended to help Scouts in leadership positions within their troop understand their responsibilities and to equip them with organizational and leadership skills to fulfill those responsibilities. This special training takes place August 5th at Beale Memorial Baptist Church in Tappahannock.
