Soulful Story Cards

A workshop to shed light on old stories holding us back and give ourselves permission to create new stories, opening opportunities for insights and wisdom. The cards become signposts for moving forward with intention in living life more fully. This intentional creativity class requires no artistic skill.

Alzheimer & Dementia Coed Caregiver Support Group

Join Chris for this support group. Support groups are an important resource for caregivers, they provide a judgment-free place to share fears and frustrations, and talk with those going through similar challenges. This group offers support, education, problem-solving, and guest speakers. Anyone is welcome. No registration is required.

You’re invited to join a caregiver support group and talk with others who are experiencing the challenge of Alzheimer’s disease firsthand. Groups offer support, education, and problem-solving. No registration is required.

Toledo Zoo & Aquarium

Th 7/27 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

The Toledo Zoo and Aquarium is one of the best in the county. The aquarium features 3,000+ aquatic animals in 178,000 gallons of water.

The zoo houses an internationally-famous Hippoquarium. Other exhibits that make this zoo special are Arctic Encounter, Frog Town, Cheetah Valley, and Primate Forest.

Kalamazoo Air Zoo

Tu 5/23 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

This is a highly charged, multi-sensory atmosphere that goes beyond anything you’ve ever seen. The Air Zoo features amusement park-style rides, full-motion flight simulators, a 3D/4D Missions Theater, Magic Planet, Paratrooper Jump, as well as historical exhibits. It also displays the world’s only remaining SR-71B Blackbird and XP-55 Ascender.

Includes: motor coach transportation and admission to the Air Zoo.

The Wine Bus

Th, 6/22, 10:45 a.m-6:30 p.m.

This bus takes us down to the Irish Hills. Chateau Aeronautique Winery was founded in a hangar overlooking the runway in 2009. In 2017 they moved to a new 8,000 square foot facility on 28 acres in the Irish Hills. Located in an 1870’s Schoolhouse, Cherry Creek Cellars takes pride in Crafting Michigan-made wine, cider, and beer for everyone in a picturesque vineyard setting. You can find your “own” place among the lakes at The Winery North of 12. Come experience their unique tasting experience. Their spacious tasting room sits on 5 acres and has two large patios. 

Entree selection: Lasagna or Vegetarian Lasagna

Includes: motor coach transportation, lunch and wine tasting at Chateau Aeronautique Winery Irish Hills, wine tasting at The Winery North of 12, and wine tasting at Cherry Creek Cellars.
