The Ally: Join Us

Join Us. That phrase keeps ringing in my head—ringing in a good way.

Join us virtually for Families as Allies Live today at noon. Together, we will determine what to do about those challenging back-to-school problems. (Are you getting those calls to come pick up your child? Has anyone told you not to bring back your child until you get them an assessment or therapy?)

We'll also discuss parent peer support - how to become a parent peer supporter and stay certified if you already are one. We'll also discuss upcoming opportunities to learn together and ways to share your ideas to improve the systems that serve our children.

Join us in looking at how the people who use Mississippi's behavioral health services and their families can drive the state's plan. Come find out more about the planning council working on that - every voice is needed!

Join us in supporting parent peer supporters and ensuring the people in this valuable profession have the support and training they need. If you're a parent-peer supporter, let us know what you need and what you notice would make things better. We want to join together to support you.

Please check out our events section for training opportunities, and don't forget to read our resource section. It's got some great information about how different groups have joined and are joining together to get things done.
