"PIT STOP" 10TH ANNIVERSARY

SCREENING AND FILMMAKER PANEL

Join us to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the award-winning, Texas-produced film, PIT STOP, which tells the parallel stories of two gay men in a small Texas town.

The evening will feature a screening and Q&A moderated by DIFF Artistic Director James Faust. Among cast and crew members scheduled to attend are: Yen Tan, director and screenwriter; Kelly Williams, producer; Jonathan Duffy, producer; and Hutch, cinematographer.

SPAIN AND THE OSCARS: "BLANCANIEVES" (SNOW WHITE)

This fall, as the Meadows Museum celebrates American enthusiasm for Spain in the exhibition Spanish Light: Sorolla in American Collections, DIFF is proud to collaborate on a selection of Spanish films that were considered for an Academy Award.

In this retelling of the Snow White fairy tale, a matador’s daughter flees from her wicked stepmother and joins a traveling band of bullfighting dwarfs. She adopts the name Blancanieves and mesmerizes crowds with her talent and beauty in the arena. Set in a romantic vision of 1920s Andalusia, BLANCANIEVES is a tribute to silent films. It was also Spain’s official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar for 2012.

EARTHX FILM & MUSIC FESTIVAL

The EarthX Film Festival returns October 20-22, 2023, and will feature evening programs in three beloved venues in the Bishop Arts District of Dallas. Each program will feature film, music, and conversation with themes around outside adventure, conservation, activism, intersectional environmentalism, and representation in the outdoors.
