How does faith get passed on? This two-week sermon series is built around the promise of God in Psalm 119:90, that his faithfulness will endure from generation to generation. Whether you have never felt more connected to Christ or are floundering in your faith, you will learn how faith is both taught and caught.

May 22 – Join us for a Celebration of Chandra Gravit’s 20 years of Ministry with First Pres at both services. There will also be a Recognition of Sunday School teachers and youth volunteers (at 10:30), and Ordination and Installation of Elders and Deacons (at 10:30).

Chandra Gravit Appreciation Fund: If you would like to make a donation to First Pres Preschool/Kids Ministry in Chandra’s honor, funds collected will be used for church playground enhancements. The Genesis Story: Reading Biblical Narratives
Deepen your understanding of the meaning and beauty of the first book of the Bible.

Series concludes this Sunday, May 22

Genesis is a book of fundamental importance for the Jewish and Christian faiths and has exerted a profound influence on Western Civilization. In addition to being a great religious text, it is also a literary masterpiece. This class explores some of the work’s major narrative themes, including the complex relationship between God and humanity, the consequences of a rupture in that relationship, and the path towards reconciliation. Join Professor Justin Jackson of Hillsdale College in this class as he analyzes the story of Joseph.
This Sunday's Adult Education will be the last class for spring, with classes resuming in the fall. The Pastor's Bible Study will run throughout the summer, on Wednesday evenings, starting June 1.

Kids Ministry

Vacation Bible School: "Food Truck Party – On A Roll with God." June 13-17. Children will be grouped by age with age appropriate projects and games for older grades. Register here.
  • This Sunday, May 22 is Teacher & Volunteer Appreciation Sunday. Join us in the Sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. with your family as we thank our volunteers for their work this school year. Afterwards, teachers will take children downstairs for a special Sunday School celebration of our year together.
Genesis – Middle School Ministry
  • Genesis meets on Sunday mornings from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
  • Confirmation Class meets from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
