Kittens Need Love & Care

We were orphaned right after entering this world. As bad as that was, we were fortunate to be rescued at the same time.

We were only two days old, and our eyes closed, so we felt a warm hand scoop us up and wrap us in a warm blanket to bring us to the shelter. As “neonatal” kittens, the chances we would make it through the night were slim. But we did! Our foster mom is fantastic. She wakes every few hours to hand-feed us. She helps us poop. She keeps us warm.

Today, we celebrate being alive for 14 days! On Monday, our eyes opened. We got to see the face of our foster mom

We have a long road ahead until we are out of the woods.

The vet techs say it's partly because we don’t have any of the maternal antibodies that natural cat milk provides and that help young babies ward off illnesses.

Soon, we will get vaccinated, but until then, we are vulnerable.

The WCHS needs to raise at least $500 to purchase new pediatric stethoscopes and scales that can track our growth ounce by ounce.

And the Kitten Pantry is emptythey need kitten formula (KRM powder), tons of new bottles and replacement nipples, kitten food, special vaccines safe for young kittens, and much more.

Please Give Today!

Milder winters mean kittens can be born earlier in the spring than ever.

Outdoor pregnant cats hunker down in quiet gardening sheds, under decking, or in the depths of garages and are often frightened off when springtime cleaning and gardening activities roll around.
