Robin's Passion
Robin Pease does several selfless things to support our homeless population. She sent out a request for tote bags prior to Christmas and received several from one of our members.
From Robin: "I used the tote bags to put food into and I hand those out to people asking for food at intersections or people on Facebook who say they have no food. The other bags I gave to Miss Sally for Street Reach for the Homeless. Those are used by the homeless to carry/store their few possessions"
In addition, Robin does more: "I also help out with Street Reach for the Homeless. (Check out their page on FB). We are in dire need of blankets and men’s parka style jackets you don’t want anymore, or perhaps they are just taking up space in a box or closet. Couch throws need to be at least 72” long, as we have some very tall folks. Men’s shoes, hats and gloves are also welcomed.
According to Donovan Cooley in 2020, (he was the pastor at the Rescue Mission) there were between 2000 – 2500 homeless people in Ft. Wayne. I can guarantee you that the number has increased in the last 4 years.
If you can help with anything, it will be truly appreciated. If not, please keep the homeless of Ft. Wayne in your prayers."
You can contact me by email or text. Rpease13@frontier.com or 260-440-9358.

Jana's Passion
As most of us know, Jana Sebele is an animal lover. She is volunteering her time to serve on The Barks and Mews Gala committee for Animal Care and Control.
Just a decade ago, Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control faced the heartbreaking reality of being unable to provide vital treatments for animals suffering from conditions as simple as heartworm disease. Today, because of the generosity of supporters, our Angel Fund has transformed the shelter's ability to care for thousands of animals in need of medical intervention.
The Barks and Mews Gala provides funding that is critical to sustaining this life-saving mission. This very special event will be taking place on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 6 PM at The Hangar at Kruse Plaza.
Jana is accepting donations for the Whiskey & Wine table, gift cards for the Gift Card table and other items for the raffle and silent auction. She is more than happy to pick them up.
She is also looking for other animal lovers to join her on the 22nd. Follow this LINK to learn more and register ($85).
Contact Jana at jlsebele@aol.com or 260-444-7822

Hammock Beach Invitational
We are thrilled to share that Purdue Fort Wayne Women’s Golf team will host its first-ever tournament, the Hammock Beach Invitational, on March 13-14 in Palm Coast, FL. This is a significant milestone for the program, which is on the rise, having won three tournaments (Red Flash Invitational, Indiana State Invitational, The Julie) in the last two seasons and a runner up finish—making this our most successful stretch in program history.
Would be a fun kickoff to Spring to go watch! If you or anyone you know is interested in knowing more or sponsoring, click HERE.
