Livery Events

Thank you Sam Robbins

It's September, leaves are just starting to turn and the weather is cooling down. Last night guests crossed the Sugar River covered bridge to attend the first ever Dinner and Concert held in our Riverside Room. Mary McDonald prepared a delicious dinner that Livery volunteers helped serve and then Sam Robbins, with special guest Halley Neal, entertained a room full of fans for a wonderful Fall evening. Thank you Sam, Halley, volunteers and attendees.

Be on the Lookout

In addition to the featured events in this newsletter and on our website we have been busily planning even more programs, concerts and classes for this fall, winter and upcoming spring. Make sure you follow us on Instagram and Facebook to find out about these events as soon as they are announced.

Some events to be in the lookout for:

  • Additional Dinner and a Concert events this fall and winter
  • A felting class in November
  • A strength and balance class starting up in the spring of 2024

The Livery is looking to expand on the events and classes we are offering to the community. To do so we’d like to hear what kinds of events and programs you would be interested in participating in. Would you like to attend a Murder Mystery Night, an 80’s Prom, Karaoke or Open Mic Night? Maybe a book group or adult art class. Please take a moment and let us know what would most interest you.

Increasing our programming also means finding instructors.

Do you have an interest or hobby you’d like to share with others? Maybe you’d like to teach an art or technology class, give a presentation on a topic that you are passionate about, or host a knitting circle or book group. We’d love to work with you to make this happen.

Volunteer Opportunities at The Livery

The Livery is always looking for volunteers: to act as docents and give tours of the historic building, help with set up, breakdown, and running of events and general maintenance of the building and grounds, to name a few examples. If you are interested in becoming part of The Livery family reach out to us. We'd love to hear from you.

Booking NOW in 2024!

You know we do weddings and concerts, but that is just the beginning. Recently a photographer rented The Stable for a photo shoot and Riverside hosted a corporate retreat. Need a spot to host a shower, birthday, or retirement party? How about an art show, or art class? We could even be the place to hold a book group or knitting circle. With 4 different spaces to rent there is a space to fit your needs. Each event transforms The Livery into a new venue for celebrating any and all occasions

Visit www.thelivery.org/rental for more information or email Sharon Parsons at rentals@thelivery.org. We look forward to working with you!
