Owen Lynch has served as the Hundred Club treasurer since 1974, and as a director since 1975. Owen, a lawyer by trade, is a philanthropist at heart. He actively serves on many boards including the Board of Governors Executive Committee of Boston College, and as a member of the Advisory Board of St. Mary's High School in Lynn. Thank you Owen for your outstanding work at The Hundred Club and years of service. We are extremely grateful.

Quincy Firefighter John Austin, an 11-year veteran with the Quincy Fire Department and U.S. Marine was unresponsive after his shift. He leaves behind his loving parents, fiancé, and son.
July 10, 1997
Middleton Police Sergeant Edward Couture was struck by a vehicle during a traffic detail. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and served with the Milddleton Police Department for 22 years. He leaves behind a wife and two daughters.

Malden Police Officer Shawn Dillon passed away unexpectedly at his home.
July 13, 1996
Holyoke Firefighter Arthur Petit died due to cardiac arrest while searching for victims at a multiple-family dwelling fire. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.
July 15, 2018
Weymouth Police Officer Michael C. Chesna was shot and killed by a career criminal. Following 9/11, he joined the U.S. Army to serve his country with the 187 10th Mountain Division, serving two tours of duty, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He leaves behind his wife and two children.
July 20, 1980
Chelsea Police Sergeant Arthur Cashin was shot and killed while making a traffic stop. Sergeant Cashin had been with the department for nine years. He is survived by his wife and two young daughters

Worcester Firefighter John Kennedy died in the line of duty. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, and a 20+ year veteran of the Worcester Fire Department. He leaves behind a son and loving family.
July 21, 2000
Massachusetts State Trooper Drew Chandler succumbed to Hepatitis C, which he contracted 18 years earlier while searching a vehicle for narcotics. Trooper Chandler had served with the Massachusetts State Police for 20 years. He is survived by his wife and three children.
July 22, 2005
Massachusetts Trooper Vincent Cila was killed in a single vehicle motorcycle accident while on patrol in Boston. Trooper Cila had served with the Massachusetts State Police for 22 years and was assigned to Troop F. He is survived by his wife and two children.
July 23, 1973
Fall River Police Officer John Ruggiero was shot and killed while investigating a suspicious vehicle. Officer Ruggiero was a U.S. Navy veteran and had served with the Fall River Police Department for almost three years. He was survived by his wife and two children.
July 25, 1995
Taunton Police Sergeant Edward Neves was killed when his patrol car crashed into a utility pole while on route to assist another officer who was pursuing a vehicle. Sergeant Neves had served with the Taunton Police Department for seven years and was posthumously promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
July 26, 2012
Westfield Police Officer Jose Torres was struck and killed by a dump truck while directing traffic at a construction site. Officer Torres was a U.S. Army veteran and had served with the Westfield Police Department for 27 years. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
July 27, 1961
Nahant Police Sergeant John O'Connor suffered a fatal heart attack after struggling with a prisoner in the city police station. Sergeant O'Connor had served with the Nahant Police Department for 28 years.
July 31, 2011
Salisbury Fire Lieutenant Timothy Oliveira and longtime Salisbury resident, died from asphyxiation due to compression of the torso after a hydraulic floor jack he was using failed. He leaves behind a loving wife and two daughters.
