We have recently observed an increase in inquiries from clients who are receiving alert notifications indicating their Metron computer's internal hard drive is nearing capacity. It is understandable that encountering a full hard drive can lead to frustration, particularly for Veterinary professionals who rely on their Metron system to always be ready to take images. If you receive a disk space alert, remember Metron Support Services is here to assist you in identifying how disk space is being utilized.
Often, the Metron database occupies a significant portion of the space on your computer's internal hard drive. When your database exceeds the storage capacity of your Metron computer's hard drive, you have several options.
A solution is to archive older portions of your database into a separate "archive" database and then transfer this newly-archived portion to an external hard drive or network server. By freeing up space on your computer's internal hard drive, you can continue to add new images while still accessing your older images in Metron by selecting the "Archive Database."
Please do not hesitate to contact Metron Support Services to discuss archiving an older portion of your database to free up space on your Metron computer's built-in hard drive or to explore other available options. We are here to assist you in making an informed decision.
