Emergency Alerts
Audible siren testing in Boulder County will take place on Monday, Aug. 1 and may be heard in Broomfield County. The tests will take place twice during the day at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. While Broomfield County does not have a siren system, residents can still sign up to receive voice message, text and email alerts through the LookoutAlert emergency notification system. Ensure that emergency responders are able to provide you with emergency and public safety messages by signing up today!
2022 Fall Program Guide
Discover all the great things Broomfield has to offer including classes, programs, services and more in the 2022 Fall Broomfield Program Guide! The guide covers programs and events in September - December and will hit mailboxes starting today. This edition features LIbrary, Arts and History’s new registration software, Compass!
Compass Debuts on August 1
Get excited for the newest change happening with the Broomfield Library, Arts and History, and CSU Extension program reservation system! Users will soon be able to register for programs and reserve the Eisenhower room and reserved study rooms in an easy and streamlined process. Compass will display all Library, Arts and History and CSU Extension events and programs in a single, easy-to-use calendar with the ability to register for these free programs without an account or login.
Request a FREE Wheel Lock
Stay safe and protect your vehicle this summer with a free steering wheel lock to help fight against auto theft. The Colorado Auto Theft Prevention Authority has provided the Broomfield Police Department with 50 steering wheel locks to give out to residents this July for Auto Theft Prevention Month. There are a few requirements for residents looking to receive a free lock as they will be given out on a first-come first-served basis.

🏠 Reduce Your Risk: Attend a presentation by the Broomfield VOAD on Aug. 9 to learn ways you can reduce the fire risk to your home and be prepared for emergencies.

🦟 Mosquito Safety: Protect yourself from mosquitoes by following the 4D’s: Drain Standing Water, Dress in long sleeves and pants to prevent biting, Defend with effective bug spray and limit outdoor activities at Dusk and Dawn.
🐺 Protect Your Pets: Keep your furry friends safe as wild animals throughout Broomfield, even in residential neighborhoods, think unattended pets are “fair game.” Avoid conflicts between wildlife and pets with some helpful tips!

🏫 Back-to-School Vaccination: Stay healthy as your kids get ready to go back to school. Be sure they’re caught up on their routine vaccinations to prevent serious diseases like measles and whooping cough. Talk to your child’s pediatrician or visit Broomfield.org/Immunizations to learn more.
💉 Novavax Vaccine: The CDC gave final approval to the Novavax COVID-19 vaccine, a protein-based rather than mRNA-based vaccine, for adults ages 18+ as a two-dose primary COVID-19 vaccine. The state is finalizing details about when it will be widely available.
😷 COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics: Broomfielders can receive a FREE COVID-19 vaccine or booster, including vaccines for children six months to four years, at clinics in and near Broomfield, including Children's Hospital North!

Visit Broomfield Voice to give feedback on a variety of community projects, including:

🚗 Electric Vehicle Charging Ordinance: Give feedback by Aug. 8 at 5 p.m. on an ordinance that would require EV parking spaces for a new single family, duplex and multi-family residential developments and non-residential developments. A public hearing and a final reading is scheduled for Aug. 9.

👨‍🦽 120th Ave Multimodal Study: Take a survey to help CDOT and the City and County of Broomfield identify gaps in accessible multimodal travel along the US 287/120th Avenue corridor.
