All middle and high school parents have been sent an email with their eCampus bookstore login for ordering e-books and textbooks. Parents should order the required textbooks by July 27 to allow time for arrival of all items before the first day of school.

Mr. Steve Kyle, assistant head of school for Christian Life, will host several opportunities for parents to engage with the school. We require parents of rising sixth- or ninth-grade students to attend ONE of these sessions. All events take place in the Murray Arts Center, Choral Rehearsal Room, unless indicated otherwise.

THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS AUGUST 11! We cannot wait to welcome our MPCS Eagle family back to campus. Please read below for important meet-and-greet and 101 information for EACH division below.
HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION
HIGH SCHOOL 101 AND PMI KICKOFF FOR ALL FRESHMEN
All freshmen and one parent are invited to attend High School 101 from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on August 5 in the Murray Arts Center, Kristi Lynn Theatre. Students will receive their Connected Learning Program 1:1 device during the event. (Parents may take the device home with them as the students depart for PMI Kickoff.)

Following the High School 101, all freshmen are invited to the PMI (Peer Mentoring Initiative) Kickoff event in the Murray Innovation Center from 11:15 a.m.-2:15 p.m.

PMI UP FOR NEW STUDENTS IN GRADES 10-12
NEW students to MPCS in rising grades 10-12 should plan to attend PMI UP on August 1 from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the Murray Innovation Center, Graham Commons. You will learn about MPCS high school and meet your Peer Mentoring Initiative (PMI) leaders, who will help guide you. Connected Learning Program 1:1 device training will take place during the event. Lunch will be provided.

CONNECTED LEARNING PROGRAM 1:1 DEVICE PICK-UP AND OPTIONAL INSURANCE

  • Junior and seniors - Pick up devices from the EagleTech Help Desk, Mulkey Hall (near lower school music room), after reserving your parking spot on July 26.
  • Sophomores - Pick up devices from the EagleTech Help Desk, Mulkey Hall (near lower school music room), after reserving your parking spot or anytime after 9:00 a.m. on July 27.
  • Freshmen - Pick up devices after the High School 101 event on August 5. 
  • All NEW students in grades 10-12 - Receive their devices at the PMI UP event on August 1.

Optional device insurance is available for a nominal fee. More information will be coming soon.

WELCOME TO HIGH SCHOOL EVENT
SGA (Student Government Association) will host a "Splash Zone" on August 5 before the first home scrimmage (Hawaiian theme for high school only) for all high school students. Join us in the Dozier Circle from 5:00-6:00 p.m. for this water-themed event.

HIGH SCHOOL PARENT ORIENTATION NIGHT

After school has begun, each school level holds an orientation night for parents. We will have parent orientation night on August 16 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. It will be held on campus, and parents will drop in to visit with teachers.

MIDDLE SCHOOL INFORMATION
MIDDLE SCHOOL 101
(NEW Seventh- and Eighth-Grade Students, and All Rising Sixth-Graders with a parent)

All students in grade 6 and one parent and new students in grades 7-8 should plan to attend the Middle School 101 Eagle Experience on Friday, August 5, 1:00-3:00 p.m. New seventh- and eighth-graders should be dropped off at the Mulkey Building front entrance. Sixth-graders must be accompanied by one parent and will meet in the Murray Arts Center, Kristi Lynn Theatre. Dress is casual. Students will meet teachers, see classrooms, and prepare for the first day of school. They will also participate in team-building activities and games with some friendly competition.

MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENT ORIENTATION NIGHT
On August 18 at 6:00 p.m., Middle School Parent Orientation will take place in the Kristi Lynn Theatre of the Murray Arts Center. Parents will have an opportunity to meet the teachers. This will be a wonderful opportunity for you to learn about the middle school experience.

SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS AND HOUSE DAY
The first middle school Spiritual Emphasis and House Day will take place on Friday, August 19. This will be an extended school day that runs until 6:30 p.m. Students will attend academic classes in the morning until 10:00 a.m. and then participate in a variety of activities throughout the rest of the day. This will include worship, guest speakers, breakout sessions, games, snacks, inducting new middle school students into our House System, and team-building activities. Returning middle school students may wear their House shirt from last year. Sixth-grade students and other new middle school students may wear MPCS spirit wear. 
LOWER SCHOOL INFORMATION
LOWER SCHOOL 101
(New students only in grades 1-5 and their parents)

All students and parents in grades 1-5 who are NEW to MPCS this year should plan to attend Lower School 101 on August 5 from 9:00-10:15 a.m., in the Weber Collaboratory (Mulkey Building, second floor). Parents are invited to meet with Dr. Davis during this time to answer questions about the start of the new year. 

K-DAY
(All rising Kindergarten students and their parents)

All rising Kindergarten students and their parents are invited to join us for K-Day on August 5 from 9:00-10:15 a.m. Students will meet the kindergarten teachers, see the Kindergarten classrooms, and walk through a typical day in Kindergarten. Student classroom assignments will be posted on each classroom door at the Back-2-School Night on Tuesday, August 9. Dr. Davis will meet with parents separately during K-Day in the Weber Collaboratory.

PRESCHOOL/TK AND LOWER SCHOOL PARENT ORIENTATION NIGHT
After school has begun, parents are invited to attend orientation night, August 15, to learn about their child's day-to-day learning environment, class guidelines, schedules, etc. Please make plans to attend at the appropriate time: 

Grades PreK-Second: 5:30-6:30 p.m., classrooms
Grades 3-5: 6:45-7:45 p.m., classrooms
PRESCHOOL/TK INFORMATION
PRESCHOOL/TK MEET-AND-GREET
(All preschool and TK students and parents)

All preschool and TK parents and students, new and current, will meet their teachers and visit their classrooms on August 8 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. (drop-in). We can't wait to see you in the preschool cottage!
